Start 17:00 session
Session goalBring your doubles up to speed before a lesson, session, or program run: edges to singles to doubles, in order of difficulty. Warm up fully first, work your hardest doubles only with your coach watching, and never end on a pile of falls.
0:00–4:004:00

Edge & Rotation Wake-Up

Never jump cold. Wake up the edges and the fast rotation position before loading a second revolution.

  • Stroking and crossovers, 2 laps
  • Waltz jumps and single loops, a few reps to feel the landing check
  • Backspins, 2 to 3 repsThe tight, crossed pull-in position is the same one every double needs in the air.
FocusSoft, checked single landings and a fast, centered backspin before you add rotation.
4:00–9:005:00

Reliable Doubles

Start with the doubles you trust. Full setup, commit, reset fully between reps.

  • Double salchow, 3 to 4 repsBack inside edge takeoff after a 3-turn or mohawk entry.
  • Double toe loop, 3 to 4 repsBack outside edge with a toe-pick assist.
  • Double loop, 3 to 4 repsSame back outside edge takeoff and landing, no toe pick.
GoalPull in fast and tight, land checked on one foot. Land two clean before moving on.
9:00–14:005:00

Harder Doubles

Correct takeoff edge every rep. Work your least reliable or biggest doubles with your coach watching.

  • Double flip, 3 to 4 repsBack inside edge into the toe pick.
  • Double lutz, 3 to 4 repsHold the back outside edge into the pick. Keep it outside, do not flutz.
  • Double Axel, walk-throughs or attemptsOnly if you are working it, and only with your coach spotting. Skip if it is not in your session today.
GoalCorrect edge on every rep. Stop a jump if the edge or timing is off rather than forcing it.
14:00–17:003:00

Warm-Up Finish

End on jumps you trust, in the state you want for your program.

Option AYour two program doubles or a double combination, one clean rep each
Option BYour most reliable double, land 2 in a row
GoalLeave the warm-up landing doubles with control and energy in reserve. Do not end on a fall.
